BMW Group Reports Strong Growth in Electric Vehicle Sales

The BMW Group continues to drive forward in the electric vehicle (EV) market, achieving impressive growth despite global challenges. This boost in EV sales highlights BMW's commitment to sustainability and innovation in electric mobility. In particular, the BMW brand saw a 22.6% growth in BEV sales, reaching 266,151 units, with models like the BMW iX1 and BMW i4 showing strong demand. Additionally, the European market showed impressive performance, with BMW delivering 577,803 vehicles in Europe (+7.6%), driven by high demand in the UK, Italy, and France. In Europe alone, BEV sales rose by 35.8%, underscoring the region's appetite for sustainable vehicles. However, BMW Group's overall global sales dropped by 4.5% to 1,754,158 units, influenced by temporary delivery stops due to Integrated Braking System (IBS) issues and economic challenges in China. As BMW continues its expansion in the electric vehicle market with popular models and technology-forward features, the brand strengthens its role as a leader in sustainable automotive solutions. Otto's BMW celebrates this progress and looks forward to bringing these innovative models to Ottawa-Gatineau customers.
