BMW Gesture Control inspires with outstandingly intuitive user guidance, making for a less distracted driving experience. With sensors located in the roof lining, next to the rearview mirror, this feature is especially handy when you don't want to take your eyes off the road, but still need to take that important call.
How it works:
o To accept a call - point to the BMW iDrive touchscreen
o To reject a call - swipe your hand to the right
o To turn the volume up - circle your finger crosswise
o To turn the volume down - circle your finger counter-clockwise
o To change the rear view camera angle - create a circle with your thumb and forefinger
o To select navigation/custom setting - point to the touch screen with two fingers in a V shape
To enjoy the BMW gesture control to its fullest potential, and to improve your everyday driving experience, be sure to check out the interactive digital owner's manual stored in your iDrive menu and search "Possible Gestures".
BMW Gesture Control launched with the BMW 7 Series in 2015, and is now available in almost every BMW, with Operating System 7.0, which supports the newest MGU head unit.
